There were several animal welfare groups launching an online campaign opposing plans by a Singapore casino developer to import whale sharks for its planned aquarium, Marine Life Park Aquarium in Resorts World at Singapore Sentosa. Marine Life Park Aquarium is set to become the world’s largest sea water aquarium. The oceanarium will accomodate approximately 700,000 fish in 20 million gallons (76 million litres) of water, based on information stated in Resorts World at Sentosa’s website.
